sadly, we don't have a guide for that. yes, we should create a good guide for this process. as always which is on my todo list
If you have android/Iphone with good camera( it doesn't mean you should have the best mobile camera phone to do this)
Download CamScanner app
change resolution to 2MP or 3MP (i think the default quality is 5MP or 8MP & which is too much for normal pdf)
Scan using the app.
create a pdf
upload to cloud space like gdrive/dropbox/onedrive & paste the link on here

As I told you via PM, I'm disappointed regarding Request Index. which is poorly designed :S. please take more attention for request index.
also please add a guide for scan books in request index. I wish that I can help you in this regard. unfortunately, I have no time in this month
therefore I can only give you some pora talks like this :S
I wish that we can add some sort of Bounty (reward) system for book requests. in that case, we can use our rep points. again which is beyond google sheets unfortunate!
guide, we need to add a guide for creating e-books using mobile phones. otherwise, we'll get useless 250mb books. like my first

another idea is, reuploading crap e-books that have huge watermarks.
okay basically those are on y todo list. However, my to-do list more likely my wish list since I don't have time to do some work in that regard with my current workload.
