if you apply as single person and your documents and qualifications are clear you will not get any interview. but you have to give biometrics (finger prints) in Sweden embassy (New Dhilli/Abu Dhabi etc..) you will get visa card.

if you have family (all family applicants will call for interview with all family members if you are vising Europe first time) or if you are family or single and if they see any issues/or not clear (no proper bank account/name issues in papers/age issues/ passport issues ) in your documents you will call for an interview. and they check the issue and ask some questions from main applicant. for this process the you have to go India/New Dhilli or Singapore or Abu Dhabi.

For some Master Degrees, they request IELTS 6.5 even you done the Bachelor degree in English medium. But most Programs, they don't ask IELTS. But better to have IELTS for this intake.

For the families other than the SI scholarship candidates, You are calling for an interview of 1-2 hours in New Delhi, Case officer get scanned your documents and questioned about the content of your application, how did you apply for university (through agent or direct), subjects of your Bachelor degree, why you are selecting this Master program, what are the reference books for Master degree, How many books out of the list you have read, etc. But this is a friendly interview, you should go with the all applicants in your application, but interviewed main applicant only. You can give the bio-metric after the interview.


For the Bio-metric without interview, (better) go to the embassy in New Delhi before 7, fill the application and get a place of the queue from security.
