machan what is the amount you had to spend and did you go with family? This thread made me to come to Sweden in this year. Thanks for everything Aiya and elakiri as well.
Yes. I came with my wife. it was a total around 5M only to come here (Show money+First semester fee+ticket fair+ admission fee + other expenses). But you should bring some money in your hand for at least 4-6 months. Because finding some sort of a job in here is quite difficult because of the Swedish language. For IT, it's not an issue. But you can take the language classes from the government here for free. Also I have to pay 1.2M per semester in my program. Better if you can get a scholarship.machan what is the amount you had to spend and did you go with family?
Thanks machan for sharing, for a normal living cost would it cost you around 5000 sek per month and how much a normal job can make while studying ?Yes. Sweden is so cold and so empty....very less population but it’s ok not to be crowded but kind of feel board. I still like country like SingaporeYes. So other than show money what was the actual amount you had to spend (course+ticket+admission) stuff. And did u applied by yourself or through agent?
That means as a single person while studying a Msc, I would be able to cover my living and some tuition expenses by doing a part time work right?Average expenses for a family in Sweden
1. Apartment rental: 5000 - 8000 SEK
2. Food, bills and other expenses: 3000 - 5000 SEK
3. Monthly bus card : 600 - 1000 SEK
4. Monthly train card : 3000 SEK
Average of 15000 SEK per month for a family
You can earn 10,000 - 20,000 SEK from odd jobs like Foodora, wolt.
You have full rights to work unlimited hours while studying. Therefore, you can earn for living and tuition fees. From your odd job you can save around 5000 SEK per month. But it's not enough for whole tuition fee of the semester. If you have a scholarship, then it's fare enoughThat means as a single person while studying a Msc, I would be able to cover my living and some tuition expenses by doing a part time work right?
Yes it's quite and calm, But they there own way of doing things specially in Summer...City Life is amazing in StockholmSweden is so cold and so empty....very less population but it’s ok not to be crowded but kind of feel board. I still like country like Singapore![]()
Course fee per semester [Masters] = 1.2 - 1.5 M (Depends on the university)So other than show money what was the actual amount you had to spend (course+ticket+admission) stuff. And did u applied by yourself or through agent?
Would it manageable to save from part/full time work for some semester fees and living expenses, as a single person?Course fee per semester [Masters] = 1.2 - 1.5 M (Depends on the university)
Ticket - Qatar Airways 100K to 130K
Admission - 20K
Resident Permit Application per person - 30K
Total roughly around 1.4M - 1.5M only if you apply by yourself which is really possible.
P.S: This cost is without the living expenses.
