As I know there are some changes between those model years. Unlike some Japanese models, KIA facelifts have bigger differences in terms of options, engine improvements, even comfort/handling etc between model years. Check both types and decide. If I were you, will look for a well maintained 2011 and save that 2M.

Thanks bro. since you own a Sorento, how expensive it is to maintain?

Normal service cost is about 20K at agents(without air filer replacement). First ATF change is about 80K at agents since they need to tighten some bolts in the gear box after removing it. Subsequent ATF changes would cost around 25K. If you plan to do this outside from agents , do it from an independent KIA or Hyundai mechanic and would be lot cheaper. If not agents is the best option. All most all mechanical parts are shared with Hyundai and in fact built by them.

Normal wear and tear maintenance cost is somewhere between a Japanese sedan and a Euro. Ex: break pads cost about 10K for the front and 6-7K for rear. Do not mess with the engine. Injectors cost about 1 lack each at the agents (made by Bosch). Outside shops sell brand new injector at 55K. Used ones about 25-30K. (agent offers injector rebuild at 25K each if you insist) Those costs are on par with any common rail diesel.

Mine does 8-9kmpl in city. Out 12+. Finally don't expect Vitz like maintenance and economy.

@rajika4never @hrm has anyone of you looked at Hyundai Tucson ?
I'm also looking at Sportage/Tucson. Tucson seems to go cheaper than KIA.
Tucson is mechanically similar to Sportage. So does Santa Fe to Sorento. Basically both KIA and hyundai use same engines and transmissions. In Sri Lanka, KIA seems bit expensive than Hyundai although Hyundai is the parent company of KIA.
