If it's a JATCO CVT, don't even think of buying it. They are doomed to fail. I don't know why Nissan still makes these shitty transmissions. Since MMC is now owned by Nissan, that plague has spilled over to Mitsubishi vehicles too. In the country I live, it's not rare to see Nissan's awaiting to be towed away on highway curbs because of faulty transmissions. Don't know why there hasn't been any class action lawsuit against this shitty company. Because when Subaru`s CVTs failed prematurely, a class action law suit was filed and the court ruled that Subaru should extend the warranty for their faulty CVT gearboxes. Even before the court decision, Subaru fixed/replaced the faulty transmissions for free for warranty expired vehicles. In here, some JATCO CVTs fail even at a lower mileage like at 60k and Nissan tries to get away with warranty claims citing aggressive driving habits and CVT oil change intervals. Even shitty cars like Ford and Chevys do a much better job by honoring warranty and free repairs accepting their flaws. Why this miserable company can't make reliable CVTs like Toyota and Hondo do?
