    මේක හරිද දැන් ?
No... I did it in the standard way. But as per the post by pdn above, it's not what's expected. So these days if you work out as I said you will not get the marks as the stupid marking scheme is different even though the problem is solved. Because it says to use "repeated use of the remainder theorem" :(

Thanks. No... becuase after the first step I used differential which is the standard way.

The remainder theorem can be extended past the second order to get the when P(x) is a n degree polynomial (n >m) to get the remainder of P(x)/(x-a)^m using the Taylor series easily and when P(x)/(x-x1)(x-x2)(x-x3)....(x-xm) (up to m terms). using matrices consisting of P(x1), P(x2)..... P(xm)
This is beyond the scope of A/L maths.

Some try to do AL maths in SL by memorising marking schemes..And they astonishingly get through the exam by doing that which was not the case in few years back..

It shouldn't be the case really if there's another short way. But when the examiner specify the method (eg in this case repeated use of the remainder theorem), then you are constrained. Then it shoud be worded "repeated use of the remainder theorem or otherwise" , leaving the student open for other options.

@dilann 's method is the only way to do this without using calculus.
