i dont use specified application these days using ubuntu with default network application

I'm assuming thats NetworkManager. If I remember correctly, for 3G connections, it creates a profile that will be used with 3G dongle/phone. In that profile, you can set the signals to use. Either auto, UMTS, or GPRS. Changing this to UMTS forces the connection to use only 3G signals.

check the settings in the mobilebroadband tabs. there was a setting to force it use only UMTS.

Sry i tried to upload my image and it doesn't work.
See my SLT stats

dw=0.99 mb/s up=0.16 mb/s ping=37ms

I get faily an OK speed ( 120-140 kbps dw speed on average ) over my wireless N and it does better for youtube 720p clips. Wireline should have been much better.

Airtel eke 1AM-4AM pattama speed ekak thiyenawa. Connection terminate wenne na habai speed eka 6PM-11PM pattama adui.
Torrent block wena samahara ports thiyenawa reset karama hari.

Airtel eke lankawe dena connection eka aragena thiyenne SLT ekenma thamai. SLT is no-doubt superb but cost is high - comparing with bandwidth.
Anyway, use Airtel if you need to download huge movies and need a worry-less quota. Masekata Rs 1500k gewala 45GB ganna eke awulak nane?

Airtel is a bullshit. It can only use after mid night. 12 mid to 6 a.m... I have complained many times & they always ignore the complains. F***ing Airtel buggers has over loaded their network.
