ඒ කාලේ හාල් 100 ට අඩුවෙන් තිබ්බේ. කිරිපිටි ග්‍රෑම් 400 පැකට් එකක් 300 ගණන් වලට තිබ්බේ, පරිප්පු 120-170 වගේ. දැන් කීයද. හාල් 200 ට, කිරිපිටි ග්‍රෑම් 400 පැකට් එකක් 1100, පරිප්පු 270-320 වගේ.

Is Petrol subsidized or sold at the international market rate..?

I believe to afford a Tesla in SL, at monthly repayment in certain years, you need a minimum wage equal to developed countries

Therefore the prices go up, so to accommodate that need..

At the same time I believe our Garments and Tea prices, would become non affordable, in the world market, if wages go up..

The 1977 open market policy is good and bad - just timed imperfectly..

No wonder millions of Sri Lankans ended up working abroad..

අඩුම 3x වත් ඇති.

උඹලට නොට් වෙලා තියෙනවද දන්නෙ නෑ, බඩු මිල ටික ටික වැඩි වෙනවා (යුද්දේ එන්න කලින් ඉඳන්) ඒත් ඉස්සර වගේ නිව්ස් වල යන්නෙ නෑ.

I am sure both are already at max brah.. - like SL Airlines, Tea etc.,

Not that many decades ago, SL was full of paddy fields and people had food to stock or giveaway..

When housing takes the place of fields and thereby everything has to be imported, this is what happens..

For that matter, I beleive further away you live, in places like Hambantota, cost of living could be tad less but comes at the cost of a happening life style..
