හැමෝම දැන් GPS ගැන දන්නවනේ . ඒ වුනාට හුඟදෙනෙක් අත්හද බලල නැ. ඇත්තටම GPS NAVIGATOR වල ගණන් හරි අඩුවට eBay එකේ තියෙනවා. ඒ වුනාට ඒවා ගෙන්නලා පාවිච්චි කරන්ට ලංකාවේ අපිට MAPS නැ.
තියෙන්නේ SALA T-Naw වගේ maps.
මේවා හරිම ගණන්.
අපි eBay එකෙන් 50$ වලට ගෙන්නන device එකම මුන් විකුනන්නේ 40000/= ට.
මෙච්චර ගණක ගන්නේ මුන් ගාව maps තියෙන හින්ද.
අපි open source map ekak hada gattoth මුන්ට අයෙ සල්ලි ගෙවන්ට ඕනේ නැ.

අපි පොඩ්ඩක් මේ ගැන හිතල බලමු.
දැනට හුගක් හොඳ open source MAP එකක් අපිට තියෙනවා. එක පටන් ගන්ඩ හොඳ තැනක්.
එට පස්සේ කට්ටියට තම තමන්ගේ AREA ඒකේ UPDATE කරන්ට පුලුවන්නම් අපි ගොඩ.

It is already there in all new Nokia Maps.

Hi, I have tried OVI navigation in the past with little success. I have tried to use Google maps to navigate, but it was difficult. Recently Nokia SUite (Which replaced OVI suite) gives excellent Navigation system for free.
You must have a touch screen Nokia device. I tried it with C5-03. It is not working in non-touchscreen devices like Nokia C5-00.

The maps are up-to-date, even include the highway. There is island wide coverage. It was very accurate in Colombo and Galle, where I have tried it.
It is very clear. There is 3D view with arrows and directions. The speed is displayed and almost matches with the vehicle speedometer. There are lot of other useful places and functions.

I am not referring to old OVI maps, which most of you have tried with poor success. THis is all about new Nokia Maps.

Please try it before buying any paid service if you have a NOKIA device, as it is free.
