උසස් පෙල පංති කරන සර්ලා ---

දිවයිනේ ප්‍රථමයන් ---

If you are fairly intelligent you don't need tuition classes. Many schools, possibly other than the ones in Colombo, probably do not do a proper job of teaching. Also it's true that the majority of the students do need extra classes depending on their abilities.
If you happen to see the school students on the roads during the weekends, quite often I wonder why there are schools in the first instance .
In fact I mentioned to some teachers that the Government should close down the schools and rent them to tuition masters.

Also the parents always try to send their kids to a better school. Cannot blame them. Their outlook is that everyone should be turned into an Engineer or a doctor.
If I write about the current education standards in SL, probably I will have to write a book.

So I will stop with the following.. It's called the Golden Rule of Afghan Education. -
"No amount of poor schooling can spoil a good child"
This is the bottomline.

Sorry. I disagree with you on the first. I have not done accountancy and cannot comment.
Yes Bio probably needs some extra work because of you have to read texts. That doesn't necessarily mean tuition.

Maths is totally different. All these problems we now face in teaching & learning maths is due to the donkey of an education minister named Baduddin Mohamed, in the Sirimavo cabinet who ruined the curriculum. This is the idiot who introduced NCGE. We never recovered from that disaster. Too long a story to pen here, probably ask your parents.
