RDA for sure. People pay taxes to develop infrastructure and all, RDA should have at-least put a warning sign over there. During the British era they developed the roads by thinking ahead (Long term thinking), they grew trees side of the roads and constructed huge stone walls/barriers to avoid land slide, but now a days politicians and contractors does not care about the quality or other factors, they just develop roads for the minimum cost and earn maximum profits.

These roads will damage again again and same contractors will get the job to repair the damages and same politicians will get the commissions again and again.

On the other hand, most of the drivers in the country, especially heavy vehicle drivers are not obeying the traffic rules and regulations and got no patients at all, if the bus driver stopped the bus for a second and let the truck to pass or if the truck driver did the same, they could have prevent this terrible incident.

Anyway, this is Sri lanka and people will forget about this incident within next 2 weeks. Best example is Kandy building collapsing incident, no news about it too, what a tragedy.

දුර කොච්චරද කියලා මට idea එකක් නෑ මචං. ඒකත් එක්ක තමයි බලන්න ඕන. Bus එක එනවා පෙනුනා නං ඒක එතනින් යන්න කලින් tipper එකට යන්න බැරි නම් එයා නවත්ත ගන්න ඕන. මොකද bus එක එන්නෙ එයාගෙ ලේන් එකේ. අවහිර වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ tipper එකේ Lane එක. එතකොට tipper එකයි නවත්තන්න ඕන bus එක යනකන්.
Bus එක ඔතන allow කරලා තියෙන speed එකට වැඩියෙන් එනවද ? ඒක හොයලාද තියෙන්නෙ?

Signs don't necessarily work. A sign with a speed hump on either side works. Usually bus drivers are better than the road hogging idiots with new cars. This is what I notice and get very annoyed. Accidents do happen. But in SL the RDA is totally dysfunctional. In any other country the left from the bus driver's side would have been protected by a barrier.
