Look at the tyre tread. All the tread in the middle are worn out. You know the reason for that ? These tyres are pressurised well over the required pressure to carry the maximum weight without bulging. So the tyre is like a balloon because of the high air pressure. When the bus is fully loaded the whole width of the tyre make contact with the road, but when the bus is empty ,only the middle of the tyre make contact, and that's when there is no friction at all to stop the bus when apply the breaks.
Years ago one private bus owner bought a brand new bus from the authorised importer for that particular brand. Within days he complain to the authorised dealer about a problem in his brand new 36 seater bus which runs between Akkareyipattu and Colombo. His complain was, when the bus is empty, the driver can not control the bus, because it's bouncing all over the road, and want to fix the problem. It took only a 30 seconds to fix the problem. The problem ?? well, front tyre pressure should be 60psi according to the book. But these idiots pump up 105psi because they load 80-100 passengers to this bus at that time.
