No, Indians would be laughing their asses off, witnessing how those newly elected lefties are trying to drag a country to the pit themselves. All actions have feedback; you can cut down privileges. Yes, there will be feedback action too. People need money. Obtaining wealth is a very basic and primary need of humans. Greed and the need drive the people to do something innovative. If they don't pay you enough, the people will not motivate. These are also useful to prevent corruption and bribery.
Do you know how that legendary former Singaporean PM, Lee Kuan Yew, started his tenure? He increases the wages of all government posts, on par with the highest-paying jobs in the country, saying if you have enough income, you don't have reason to bribe. And he imposed very strict bribery laws too. Those lefties were temporarily motivated with the new power they had been given. So, it will take a little while that the corruption started; I think that there will be a very bad bribery wave that will ignite with these actions. Remember that we still have the very same Sri Lankan people who voted for other parties too; they love shortcuts and paying bribes to do whatever work they needed. Other than that, some highly educated people need those vehicle permits and privileges. If those privileges weren't granted, they could easily find better-paying jobs elsewhere. So this also ignites massive brain drain too. And lastly the bureaucratic behaviour of state officers will be increased creating another problem that will end with stagnant economy. (Now don't try to argue with me about whether that old gov was motivated with all those privileges.).
