අතීතයේ පැවති වැඩවසම් ක්‍රමයට අනුව ලංකාවේ රැකියාවල් ලැබුණේ පරම්පරාවෙන් පරම්පරාවට. පියාගෙන් පුතාට ලැබෙන රැකියාව අනුව දේපල බෙදීම් , විවාහ කටයුතු පවා සිදුවුණා..

ඒ වගේ සිස්ටම් එකක් ඇතුලේ ඒ සිස්ටම් එක මේන්ටේන් වෙන්න වෙනත් රැකියාවක් කරන පරම්පරාවක කෙනෙක් පවුලකට සම්බන්ධ කර නොගන්න මිනිස්සු පෙළඹුණා..

කිසිවෙක්ට තමන් කැමති රැකියාවක් කරන්න හෝ තමන් කැමති විවාහයක් කරගන්න මේ සිස්ටම් එක ඇතුලේ ඉඩ ලැබුණේ නෑ..

ඉන්දියාවේ වගේම ලංකාවෙත් ඉන්දියාවේ තරම් නැතත් අදටත් මේ කුල ක්‍රමය මිනිස්සුන්ගේ හිත් වල තියෙනවා වගේම විවාහ කටයුතු වලදි තදින්ම බලන පිරිසක් ඉන්නවා.
විශේෂයෙන් ග්‍රාමීයව සහ උඩරට පලාතට වෙන්න අදටත් තදින්ම සලකා බලන දෙයක් තමා මේ කුල ක්‍රමය..

නමුත් නාගරිකව වෙන්න මුදල් මත , රැකියාව මත මිනිස්සු මනින ක්‍රමයක් වර්තමානයේ පවතින්නේ..

මේ අවස්ථා දෙකම අසාධාරණයි කියලා මට හැඟෙන්නේ.
