Warranty apple care warranty, මම නිකමට ඇහුවා ෆෝන් එකේ අවුලක් ගියොත් කොහොමද වෙන්නේ කියලා. 25,000ක් ගන්නවා කිව්වා handling charges.

මම ඔහොම ගියා කඩවල් කිහිපයකටම, ගියහම අහන්නේ ඔෆර් එකක් හම්බුනාද බොස් කියලා. එක තැනකදී මම ඔව් කියලා price එකක් බොරුවට කිව්වා. එතකොට එකෙක් පැත්තක ඉඳලා කියනවා, "බොස් අපේ කඩේට ආවා නේද, අපි කිව්වේ මේ price කියලා" යට කඩේ එකාමයි උඩ ඉන්නෙ. ඒ කියන්නේ ඒ සේරම කඩ ටික උන්ගේ.

අනිත් එක තමා Genxt warranty කතාව. Genxt warranty එකක් phone එක 1lakh විතර වෙනසක් තියෙනවා. Phone kindom කියලා එකකට ගියා, 395,000 දෙන්නම් කිව්වා Genxt warranty එකත් එක්ක. මටත් හෙන happy. මූ ෆෝන් එක ගෙනත් අතට දුන්නා. මම කලින් කඩවල් 2,3 දැක්කා Genxt ඒ වගේ ස්ටිකර් එකක් ගහලා තිබ්බා Genxt warranty කියලා. හැබැයි මුන්ගේ එකේ තිබ්බේ නෑ. ඇහුවහම කියනවා ලංකාවේ Genxt නෙමෙයි අපි direct deal කරන්නේ Singapore එක්ක කියලා. ඔයාට ඕනි නම් Apple care warranty දෙන්නම් 370,000 කිව්වා.

ඔය කතාව වුනේ ඔහොම. අද ගියා යාළුවෙක්ට චාජර් එකක් බලන්න. Apple original charger කියලා දෙනවා. උන් උන් දෙමළෙන් හිනාවෙවී මොනවද කතා කර කර final decision එකට ඇවිල්ලා තමා Price කියන්නේ. 7000 - 10000 වෙනකන්ම price එක කිව්වා. Future world 12,500.

එක කඩේකින් ඇහුවහම 8500 කිව්වා. 3 pieces ඕනි කිව්වහම 8000 දෙන්නම්ලු හැබැයි 6 month warranty තමා දෙන්න වෙන්නේ කිව්වා. එතකොට සාමාන්‍යයෙන් Apple care warranty එක 1year. Rs 500 අඩු කරහම 6month? මොනවද මේ කතා???

Original කියලා බඩුවක් ගන්නෙ කොහොමද කියලා හිතන්නකෝ.

මේක Apple විතරක් තියෙන ප්‍රශ්නයක් නෙමෙයි. Samsung same. මම අද නිකං බැලුවා ගිය එකේ Samsung tab එකක්. ලක්ෂ 3,4ක් වෙන tab එකට ලැබෙන්නේ 6 month warranty. Same for the phones. ඒකත් shop warranty කියලා එකක්. මේ දේවල් ඇයි මෙහෙම වෙන්නේ බලන්නකො. ලක්ෂ ගානක් දීලා ගන්න බඩුවට warranty නෑ. යකෝ හෙන ගැහුවත් මදිනෙ මුන්ට.

As long as you're buying brand new sealed box apple product, I dont give a flying

Apple warranty is global and they never ask purchase receipt. I have experience with UK/Germany and Singapore apple stores.

As long as you are the original customer.

I got those gray market imported iPhone 13pro and got screen issue after 11 months.

Took it to Srilankan Apple agent and they check it through apple diagnostics software and said it'll take 2-3 months to repair but asked for receipt. I said I got it as a gift. They told me they can't repair without receipt.

I explain to them apple warrety policy and they allow repairs as long as its genuine and owner is genuine (not reported stolen). I told them if they refused I'll email apple and explain the situation. After few min of talking to manager they said they can accept the phone for repair but take time. Seems like nice way to send away customers coming for services.

In the end I took it to UK Oxford Street store and no questions asked about receipt except I have to log in and remove old phone from cloud. I got a replacement phone within 48hrs. Old phone is purchased from USA according to Apple service center guy.

My advice is check if phone is genuine through apple warranty site and if it is don't worry about gray market imports.
