    දැනටත් හරි detail 1ක් නැති උනත් ලංකාව දුවන්නේ ඇගළුම්, ගෘහ සේවිකා, සහ IT service වලිත් තමයි බන්.

Umba komada machan service export karanne without having a proper foundation in SL? so first you need to establish that. Ekata SL local customerslage contribution eka ona.
Doesn’t have to be that way. That foundation could be a single foreign client found through a platform such as Upwork.

It Depends, If it is an outsourcing company then it needs a local reputation, But If it is a product based then why do we need a local ?

Not easy as you say ban. Are you part of a company? If you are working freelance stuff this is a valid argument. But if you are part of a big company then it isn't true. I am talking with experience ;-)

Exactly here we are talking about services

From the top of my head, only one company comes to mind when thinking of “serving predominantly local customers”.

From my understanding, majority of the big names out there started off with foreign clients and then maybe moved onto local customers as well.

No, I don’t freelance but I do know a company founder of such a service company and there is a “sudda” involved in the genesis story.🤣

And then there are the smaller companies that started off with Upwork clients or as breakaway factions from larger companies - mostly with foreign clients.

What is the scale you are talking about. I used to run a team that did 1mil USD GP (Revenue - Cost) per year.

If you are talking about 100K USD per year revenue sort of work then what you say might be true.

Don’t know the numbers. I don’t work for them.

The service company I spoke of must have had like 100+ engineers.

Anyway what’s your point? A company that does 1 million GP has to start with local clients? and less than 100k with foreign clients? That does not make any sense.

All I know is I am paying £50 per month for a bloody accounting software. They are not even market leaders but they rapidly grow in to 3mil subscribers last few years.

In another note, a friend of mine who lives in SL is earning more than 50k USD annually. I've never heard of his Norwegian company but they seems to doing well. They dont do anything with the locals customers.

I honestly think it’s easier to find foreign clients than going after local clients in this day and age.
