u are making a valid point in a way. but hard working itself is talent. it really is....

some people are naturally hard workers. laziness is in peoples genes.

you have to understand that qualities of a people cannot be identified distinctly... so for example batting talent is consist of the talent to enjoy and work hard for it.

    but having said that,

i can never be smart as Einstein even if someone force me to study physics all day ( eventhough it is not in my genetically make up to work that hard )

exactly, in most cases, only talent u need is hardwork, and u know what, u dont have to be born with it, anybody can acquire that talent, thats the point,

and then there are some people , like einstein, they are extraordinary, almost super human, u have to be born with these things but in life 99% of the time u dont need those gifted talents, handwork is all u need and that is available to almost anybody

try to think about these things in a broad manner.. then you'll realize..

u think sl players work harder than other countries? really, how did u come to that conclusion,

and what does talent has to do with population, u dont need a pool of billion talented people to win a cricket match,

, jamaica dominating sprinting world with 2 million people, west indies won back to back t20 world cups, australia winning in almost every sport with 20 mil people,

i personally think kohli is an extraordinary person as well. you cant play in the Indian batting lineup if you aren;t extraordinarily talented. just like you can never be an Einstein. there are many things you can archive from 90% hardworking and 10% talent, being an Einstein and being a kohli isn't among them.

i personally think SL players works harder than players of other countries... SL's aren't gifted with sporting talents or physique. yet they are able to get a great series outcome once in a while that's mostly due to their dedication

to bat or ball at a world class level you have to be gifted with the talent to some extent. but fielding isnt like that. its more dependent on hard work. so if what you are saying is true then how come our fielding is so shitty off late? and players so unfit? mathews getting injured so easily.

look at malinga, murali, jayasuriya, sanga , mahela practice made they who they are...

more population ----> more people to choose from

really? Venugopal Rao played for india :lol:

dude, i get it, u think all these people who become successful are extraordinary,

but i just told u they dont hv to be born with it, take umar akmal and kohli's example,

then u want to believe the ability kohli had to push him self up is also and extraordinary talent too, yes,

but u dont have to be born with it, anybody can acquire that,

u said no matter how devoted u are if u are not talented u wont be able to make it right?

so do u think devoted people with no born talent cant acquire that talent called 'hardwork'?

u think our players work harder than them, then do we have anybody who's fit as kohli?

if u work hard u can increase ur fitness levels right? u dont hv to be born with it,

u have to read kohli ipl story, at one season he hit only few sixes, then he did some analysts on his arm power then worked hard, next season he hit 6's 3, or 4 times compared to last season,

i haven't any success people who believed more in talent than in hardwork

my view is that a person can gain 'something' with hard working. for example if some average person works really hard in his academic work he might get A/B's but it's really unlikely that he'll be the batch top. And same way it would be astronomically unlikely that some average kid who loves batting would archive something that Kohli/tendular have archived.

talking about umar akmal vs kohli scenario, it's really just common sense no one can succeed if he don't use his talent. for exapmple lts take kohli, akmal and anjelo perera for example.

kohli has 50 talent , akmal has 50 talent , and anjelo has 10 :sorry:
    and.........
kohli dedicate 50 , akmal dedicate 10 and anjlo dedicate 60 ( more than kohli)

analyze this scenario and u'll realize what im talking about

what im saying is, kohli wasnt really a super talented player, he was above average player at best when he played u19, hardwork made him the worlds best,

if u are good enough to get selected to u19, team , club team, A team even national, they u hv some talent, and with hardwork most of them can become great players,

u saying our players work hard but got no talent so thats why they fail is truly stupid

    Is this true?
