it depends on many factors machan
if it is ur first job and there are clear ways to advance to about twice of that salary in minimum 3 year, that kind of a job is fine and salary is fine for a short time

if you dont have a degree or any other professional qualification, then it is more than adequate but remember, you can manage 35k for a long time. (i myself got 30k for my first salary)

if you don't plan to marry or settle down and if you feel that marriage and children are not for you, then it is fine. But make sure that you remain single forever, if by any change you decide to tie a knot, you'll be in big big trouble

So in summing up
35K starting is fine but it can only be sustained for max 1 year,
you need at least 15-20k increment every year as monthly salary (well, companies are not so generous, you need to have a passive income or side business)
