I don't have any experience or haven't done any research on these batteries. However it seems that LFP are cheaper and smaller in size.
You can buy LFP 5KWh for around 850USD, and including shipping and duties the total would be around 400K LKR, way cheaper than this one. I have ordered two of these, spent about 500K for batteries, shipping + duties are yet to be paid, guess it would be in 50-60K range.
If you know around electronic stuff, you can order LFP cells and a BMS, and make your own battery, that would be even cheaper.

Cheapest option is the admin service, but there are lot of people who can import items for you, they keep a higher cut compared to the admin service, some people charge absurd amount but some charge very reasonable amount, so do your research when selecting an importer.

beware when you order those very hight capacity cells, there is a maximum energy density for any type of cell. so those higher capacity cells may not be good as they say. again, do your research on cells/brands and BMS before purchasing.
Lot of people are trying to get those SAKO 100Ah/48v battery packs, but i saw some people posted pictures of internal construction of the pack, it doesn't seems to be very well built. just moderate build quality. If you can import good quality Grade A cells and a good BMS, you can build a far better battery yourself for less money.

Yes, you must have AC SPD, in fact that is more important than DC SPD. you have a way less probability for getting lighting surges via pv side(you need to ground frame of the solar panels separately). but grid is susceptible for lighting surges all the time, not only directly lightning but also induced surges as well. As i have heard, most common cases for inverter failures are,
1 - Lighting
2 - Accidentally connect grid supply to the inverter output, (people are directly connecting the inverter output to a wall plug), this can avoid by using a changeover.
Honestly, people went for SAKO inverters due to its price, 3KW was about 75K LKR and 5KW was about 1.20K LKR when the USD was 200. that is the main reason people went for SAKO, not due to the quality.
I think Epever/MPP solar are better choices in terms of quality, especially MPP Solar. Growatt is also a better brand but it is bit expensive, Growatt inverters are popular in US/Australia/South Africa etc. and it is with a better support, so i want with growatt.
You can hardly find any reviews in the internet for SAKO inverters.

If you are not charging via the grid(say, you are using inverter and solar charge controller as separate units), then you can skip the AC SPD. however having one is an advantage, it will protect other household appliances from surges coming from the grid(when you are using grid power)
