The Angler Fish in the movie Finding Nemo is a female.

The Angler Fish in the movie Finding Nemo is a female.

The female angler fish are the ones with the huge teeth and the light infront of their faces. The male angler
fish are small and the funny fact is they spend their lives attached to the females.

The deep-sea angler fish lives at depths of up to 3,300 feet underwater. At these depths there isn’t any light.
The female anglerfish has a long rod that dangles in front of herface. It serves as a fishing pole, witha light-up
lure in the front that attracts prey.

When they successfully lure their prey, they eat them. They can swallow prey up to twice their size. The common
anglerfish (which lives in shallower water) has been known to eat seagulls.

The male anglerfish doesn't have the lure. Instead, it seeks the ocean depths for a mate by looking for the female’s
bright lure. When he found a female, he latches onto her with his teeth and fuses with her body. He becomes a
parasite, connected to her bloodstream, losing his eyes and internal organs. The female will have 6 or more males
    attached to her.

latch - a metal bar with a catch and lever used for fastening a door or gate(අගුල )
latch onto - attach oneself to (someone) as a constant and usually unwelcome companion

    fuse - join or blend to form a single entity(හා වෙනවා; සංයෝජනය වෙනවා)

parasite - an organism which lives in or on another organism (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other’s expense(පරපුටුවා;පරපෝෂිතයා)

[predator - an animal that naturally preys on others(විලෝපිකයා) : "wolves are major predators of small mammals"]

Amazing. I didn't know any of these. I just knew that they existed. That's all. Who would have thought something like, the male being attached to the female for the rest of their lives?
