when i checked online to see the prices many online merchants displayed it as out of stock....

I've got Altec Lansing 5.1 system DEC 2006......its awesome

Altec Lansing are crap mate. I had there best PC system the FX5051 an they gave me no end of trouble. So I sold them off cheap an bought a Logitech Z5500 set. Works like a dream.

Altecs sound quality is good, when they work.
