Civil vs IT

Very hard to recruit a civil engineer these days with at least 2,3 years experience, even NDT/ HND buggers are hard to find. I dont know what the fuck happened to them, I guess many are aboard or already employed, or being outsourced by foreign design firms. getting very few CVs. It will get worse as port city and highway projects are just getting started... So I guess tables have turned.

Are you a recruiter? I am currently looking for a job and have no industry experience. I graduated in 2024 with a Second Upper degree in Civil Engineering. Until now, I was mainly focused on the academic side, but I was unable to secure a PhD scholarship.

Now, I am considering moving into the industry, but I feel like I have fallen behind and made poor decisions regarding my career. I am feeling quite discouraged and uncertain about my future.

තියෙනවා. ලංකාවෙ තියෙන්නෙ ඉතාම ටිකයි. අවුට් වෙන බැච් එකකින් 10% කටවත් එහෙම තියෙනවද කියන එක සැකයි.
තියෙන ඒවයෙත් ගොඩක් ඒවගෙ පඩි අඩුයි. එහෙම වැඩකුත් නෑනෙ.
