Discussion About ISP's In Sri Lanka

i aslo hav slt home express. i live in 3.5km frm kandy. mostly i gt over 475 kbps. most good speed is during7am-11.30am and after 7.30pm.

i have checked the all the leading isp's packages in world. in uk/usa/italy... they gv up to 8 mbps in around rs.3500.also they gv free call to all the landlines....10 email acc and lots more... comparing to that we pay the same amount of money and we ar fooled to the concept of "high speed broadband"..... bt we cant do any about that. except curse those bastered.........

This is sri lanka, our internet speed depends on International bandwidth. when they increase it, we will get a chance access high speed connection.
Don't compare sri lankan ISP's with foreign ISP"s services. Pointless!!!
Think about other factors like Transport services, People habits, Economy, Infrastructure etc, they all(western countries and USA) are leading much.

mokada i think sri lankan ISPs compromised in an agreement to control their customer bandwidth as i heard .....
so cn smebdy get more than 512kbps .... z t fair .....

oka machan moratuwe thiyena podi scene ekak.. oya paththe wiring eka tikak paranai.. lines wala attenuation eka wedi.. e hinda exchange eka eha patthe hitiyath godak welawata enne adu speed ekak thamai..

anik eka moratuwe ADSL use wenawath wedi..

api use karanne Sharing connections ne, enisa speed kiyana ekama ganna baha. oya poddak SLT eken gedaratama gennagena line eka check karaganna. mata den goda kalekata kalin ohoma thibila hadagatta. den nam gindara wage weda.

I Dont Know about Dialog HSPDA but Im using dialog Wimax it support torrents.
Im using Vuze torrent client . it work greatly .

I heard they have blocked high port numbers, what are the port numbers which use to download torrents?

I use 47826 . but i think eny port would work fine . if eny one who using dialog wimax using utorrent they should enable protocol encription in the options .

giya mase idala mage link speed eka 160 ta aduwela . 8.oo pm walin passe link ekath down wenawa. mama slt ekata complain karapuwama un kiyanawa Katunayaka cabinet ekaka awulak lu , 0.6 cable eka wenuwata 0.4 use karala thiyenne , eka nisa DSL signal wala noise ekak thiyanawalu eka nisa Dial up speed ekata wada wadi speed ekak denna amaruyee lu . cabel eka maru karanna thawa 2 years wath yanawalu

un dan kiyanawa ( RTO maha mottayek ) mata me speed eka madinam line eka disconnect karaganna kiyala


oya awula kalin kiwannam mama ADSL ganne nehene . mun mawa rawattuwa . 512 speed eka wenuwata 160 monawa karannada . munta mata connection eka denna kalin oya gana kiyanna thibuna ne

Mobitel HSPA connections wala price den honday neda. den dialog HSPA walata honda competition ekak denna puluwan wey.
