Tell me one game that asks for more than 16gb RAM even as recommended specs right now? The most Ive seen is Batman Arkham Knight (12gb) and quantum break (16gb) which are somewhat shitty ports anyway. Filling up the RAM slots just because the motherboard has expansion room is just idiotic.

Besides youve advised him to add another 4 or 8gb stick to his existing 8x2 am i right? How would the dual channel config work then?

Also, having 32 or 64gb of Ram would absolutely not help you recover from other bottlenecks in the system as you have suggested. More than 16gb RAM at this point JUST FOR GAMING is a waste of money better spent elsewhere.

ලබන අවුරුද්දේ අනිවාර්යෙන් රැම් කැපැසිටි එක ගිගාබයිට් 16 හෝ ඊට වඩා වැඩියෙන් ඉල්ලන ගේම්ස් සෙට් එකක් එනවාමයි.
Quantum Break එකෙන් නවතින්නේ නෑ ඕක.

RAM is easily expandable. If that requirement comes next year, OP is better off adding two more RAM sticks next year. Instead, invest that money right now into a part that is not as easily upgradable as memory.

But adding more RAM above 16GB right now just because there is room for expansion is as useful as plugging in more mice just because there are free USB ports on the computer.
