Most of time that is not happening. It is you should take precautions not to chit chat with girls while you walk from the bus stop to your home. If you really want it, then do that also why fear? If not ,find a place to meet your girl and nobody will recognize you. If 10 persons notice you are having an afire with a girlfriend, out of 10 one will report to your mother. That’s the nature.

The only point I don't agree is the population factor.
There are hell lot of Chinese and Indians (much more than Sri Lankans.) but Sri Lankans do have a better respect in the community than those 2 categories.
That is mainly because the attitude, ego and the language.
And the warm genuine hospitality of our people.
Unlike in Sri Lanka, Sri Lankans here don't have a 'huge' ego compared to the Indians! So naturally Sri Lankans do get a good status.

Sri Lanka has a unique culture which we all should be proud of. That's what makes us different from other people.
If you wanna get a hair cut, then do it. But don't think about what others say. That's it
Vehicles are the same price in all countries. SL prices are higher because the insane tax scheme. That's politics and that's how the government make money. Maybe too much and wrong!
But again it controls the number of vehicles on the roads. (We don't have big enough roads to drive few hummers right?)
It's just a complex mess of problems.
Sri Lanka is the best country to live for every Sri Lankas. There is no country like Sri Lanka. I have seen many Sri Lankans living in other countries, UK, Italy, Australia, France etc..etc.
