Software Engineers/Senior Software Engineers
Amba Research Lanka is a multinational professional services firm that specializes in providing investment research to global investment banks, institutional investors, and hedge funds. Due to rapid expansion, we are currently in need of Software Engineers/Senior Software Engineers to join our Quantitative Research team. Successful applicants will be designated Software Engineers or Senior Software Engineers depending on their experience and/or level of skill/aptitude.
To apply for this position, candidates will ideally need the following qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Systems. Part or full qualification in CIMA/CFA will be an added advantage.
- Experience in C# .NET, Java, SQL Server, and Oracle. Experience in extracting data from sources such as Bloomberg and exposure to financial markets, including company fundamentals, will be added advantages.
- A minimum of one year of prior work experience in a similar role for the Software Engineer position. A minimum of two years of work experience in a similar role for the Senior Software Engineer position.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- A strong work ethic, with good attention to detail.
- Implementing enterprise-wide systems for financial clients.
- Communicating with clients, gathering requirements, and designing systems.
