Didn't mean to discourage you. That's why I said A for the effort.
I was merely asking you which problem do you think this website solves that a simple list in a note pad cannot ?

No worries. That didn't discourage me. I like your honest opinion. What I said was, it's always a choice. For someone, using a notepad might be easy. I don't want to argue with that. But for me, I would prefer a tool like this.

If you look at Keells, Cargills and other shopping sites. Their item names doesn't follow any standard. Here you can built a shopping list using several online shopping sites and then use those names to order items.. if they are 'out of stock' in one site. Also personally, I don't think a text saved in a notepad is visually appealing as well.

Another benifit will be if you order the items online and after few days if you decide to go to Keells or any other super market. You can simply go to the website and upload the same downloaded file and generate the list and start doing the shopping.

I am currently using it and it serves me well. Just shared it here, hoping it will help more people.

Yeah. I saw that they have added that feature. It will save time. But most of the time, because of the demand.. most of items goes 'out of stock' and then again you have to search and add those missing items.

Here the main benifit is.. you are not limited to one shopping site. If the items are missing in one site, you can quickly search in other online super market and order them. Also you can use the same list in your PC and when you go to a super market, you can upload the previously downloaded list using android, iphone phone and shopping.

Still it's your choice.
