Bullying and even cyber-bullying is everywhere no matter the grade or age. My personal opinion about bullying is that it's simply a mask that bullies wear to cover up their true feelings of pain, low self-esteem, and the need to feel special/important and loved. Once their barrier of hiding behind the mask is dealt with, they are able to function without the bullying. Some turn out to be really nice people once they and you get to know who they truly are inside. They need to come face to face with their "inner child" and the pain that lies behind their hostile and cruel outbursts towards others before they can begin to heal from those wounds.
While bullies strive to inflict their "inner pain" onto others, they temporarily gain a sense of power for being able to pass their own insults onto others.We need to be aware as a community and understand our role with one another to live a healthy and compassionate life together. Let us remember that bullying cant be impairing if it is not addressed.
