frist you have to download a torrent client. eg: utorrent.

and if you want to download a movie, you have to search and download the torrent for that movie, which is usually few KBs in size. and then open the torrent by the torrent client software. after that the torrent client software will start receiving the file. Its not faster than direct downloads, but can be slower if a certain torrent doesnt have enough seeds (sources). But the availability of items such as movies and other stuff can be greater. and its free.

In the attic...
I don't get it.
Why do ppl go for torrents when there are many sites that allow direct downloading? :confused:

they are easy and less complicated no seeding just dl ...

lol...coz most of those sites restrict download speeds....and break up files into almost thousands of parts....and if one of those parts is missing...you have wasted your time....:angry::angry:

torrenting is easy hassle free......you look for a good site and peers to download it from...set it to download....and the only thing left to do is watch the fast download speeds and wait till its done......:P:P

not to mention there is a torrent of ANY file/program you could want...something copyrighting does not allow....

AND ALL THIS ABSOLUTELY FREE....:yes::yes:

    look for torrents with good seeds/peers ratio.
    Also private torrent trackers provides torrents with higher seeds/peers ratios

    you can download at the max speed intended by your ISP....
    :nerd::nerd:

    other than that no magical way to get 1GB download speeds on a 512kbpbs line...."free" download sites will reduce the speeds on purpose.....:P

    but from those "free" sites...you have a higher chance of getting something nasty bonded to the files....not to mention all the adverts and registering etc etc....too much hassle.....:no::no:

    you have to beg for IPT accounts though :P

    like kosandpol said.....you don't need IPL accounts to download.....

    there are even better, free n hassle-free sources out there.....:dull::dull:

    why stay at you PC....downloading one link after the next.....:baffled:

    just download one file (torrent file).....and run it in your torrent client (utorrent etc)...and just forget about it......and it does all the work for you....:rolleyes::rolleyes:
