We still have a 2007 Montero (we imported through unimo at that time) at home (lanka). 250K on the clock. Only services and timing belt changed.
4M40 / 4M41 engines and transfer boxes last ling for decades if regularly maintained.
My advice is to check maintenance records and buy. Ausi's don't service their cars properly and tow excessive loads sometimes. So, try to get one without tow bar !! to stay on the safe side. (You can easily fix one)

Haha, They really do tow loads. Thanks a lot.And most people really use 4x4 for offroad, unlike Sri Lankans. The thing is I have exactly zero knowledge on offroad vehicles and that's why I'm kinda afraid and interested in buying one.
