Wow i was busy for a while and just came to see what has happened in this thread. Hilarious.hammata siri man ena tikata namuth dalada.

yeah that could be true. but most of the distant district fellows with low zscores fall out in to low demanding fields like material and mech. and if they get in to fields like electronic or cse, you have to admit that the student is skilled regardless of the zscore. if there are worthy graduates from degrees other than engineering, best thing is to standardize the degree more up to an engineering degree with introducing more math modules or just to conduct exams from IESL for the missing math and other modules then award the membership. but claiming titles without the membership cannot be accepted. it's not just an id card and a membership letter. there's a legal bond for the engineer with the ethics code to the society, which is not known or followed by wanna be engineers, which was proven in the same thread by some wannabe engineers and even some "software architects"
from what i gather, software development is quite similar to a building design and construction, involving engineers, technical officers, engineering assistants, supervisors, foremen, storekeepers and masons etc. but when it comes to the software development, everybody including laborers, storekeepers and formen suddenly become engineers

FYI, ethics, law and code of conduct is part of the curriculum it self and is mandatory in BSc in CS. So again this is pretty much same with the Chartered institute that's why it is being offered. I don't know why you thought concepts like these only a part of IESL membership. And I believe what should have happened is IESL should get these updated according to world standards instead of making people like you confuse and frustrated.
You are always telling about engineering modules here and there, and I suggest you to go and check what modules being taught in BSc CS then do a comparison with CSE so you would know.
And on what earth could you compare a software development into a building design, and align the people accordingly between Building construction and Software Development. This shows how narrow minded and illiterate you are. And this explains a lot about your previous responses.
Since, you might have seen software written for boutiques and tries to imagine the complete industry around it. You cant even comprehend the engineering behind a world class software. These are the things that drives the world forward and advances humans to next level (read last 50 yrs of human evolution). Personally I do work as an architect in a system that generates 25mn USD per day and business is valued over 50 bn USD. Just get this example from something you can understand, think what sort of things sits behind youtube to offer videos so lazy ass people like you could enjoy your office hours wasting public money.

yet you claim they are not
