Main target of any business is to reduce cost and make profits. In future, there will be lesser full-time jobs in IT industry. Most of the time, there will be contracts or the companies will outsource freelancers.

as s business minded person you are correct. but as a QA if you develop knowledge about performance testing/automation/web services testing and other relavant area no prob you can servive.

The QAs here hardly write any test suits. Just being some test monkeys. They don't lay out anything for TDD/BDD benefits. Shamefully, we don't have good QAs in here either, and developers doing most of the test code themselves. (I'm a PM so I know how fucked up the QA careers are).

May be in your company.. But this is not the case in general.. As a product designer I know how important the QA role as a success factor..

i work in virtusa. in here client totaly depends on our word and we are fully responsible for product verification and validation.i know other companies may have that kinda people. but in here most of them are like that.

Bro, better not mention the company name in public forums. Client depends on the PMs' word in almost all the Project base companies. That's the nature and yes, it is your responsibility to make sure everything is in expected order.

Also, Virtusa has hundreds of QAs and the case might not similar among all of them.

QA's in all companies are not fucked up like in your one

there are people earning 4,5lax + running top class worldwide test scenarios
