Nissan is having to carry out a huge car recall due to two very serious problems with 13 different models in its North American range. Notably, the seat belts and air bags are faulty, meaning they may not work as intended during an accident.

Mazda Recalls Over 374,000 Vehicles for Faulty Airbags. Mazda has announced that it will conduct a recall on select 2003-2008 Mazda6 models, along with select 2006-2007 Mazdaspeed6 and 2004 RX-8 vehicles for faulty passenger airbag inflators.
The Problem: Select Mazda6, Mazdaspeed6, and RX-8 vehicles have an issue with the front passenger airbag inflator, making them susceptible to rupture in the event of an accident, which would make the deployment of the front passenger airbag necessary. If the inflator ruptures in an accident, metal fragments could hit vehicle occupants, resulting in serious injuries or death.
