All fixed but mileage issue is headache
Im myself rakesh kancharla, i got kwid on November end. Initially lot of problems, no space avail to list ha ha, let me tell common prob so you can fix it before taking delivery of car.
Executive will say PDI completed but dont let him go. Get this fixed else you will suffer
- Ask them to change the front utility box, the lock will broke exactly in a week or so.
- Touch screen player will stop working intermediate. . After several fight the issue was sorted.- some ISO Wiring was replaced.
- Heavy rattle sound from car tail - issue found was the parcel tray is not sitting properly. Got this replaced
- Damn it heavy scratching sound when you press clutch. The issue started after 200km or so, the cable used was defective and they have replaced it.
Issues apart from PDI .. personal car side issues
- Left side wheel arch completely damaged when a two wheeler guy banged me. Fixed thru outside as the renault guys gave totally irritating timeline. 10 to 12 days. Also i was afraid of loosing NCB
- Car cabin light was on ( my kid did this ) it should been full night. Car was dead and had to manually charge battery
-Wipe broke and scratched the windshield. Due to my negligence, i got a phone when driving so stopped car and accidentally touched wiper and went for a smoke while on call. After the call it was pity moment.
Overall distance covered - 5400 km
Mileage - City 5 to 9 max - i never seen a car which gave changing figures even when highway drive. Some icu or ecu bug ? how come the mileage keeps varying every time. Never seen 2 digit mileage return
One word - Renault is new to these much sudden sales boost so all the service ppl and sales guys became headweight. Kindly note if this car becomes a flop after some months think your status....
Good about car - Looks
Bad about Car- almost everything other than looks. I made a mistake by going for petrol car and that too for kwid which has low mileage.
Any car which has ARAI figure of 20+ then it will give 15 to 18 but kwid has failed a real time on mileage.
All the issues like rattle sound etc etc can be fixed but dont know how to fix mileage
PLANNING TO SELL CAR IN OLX OR QUIKR OR ANY DEALER . POOR MILEAGE DONT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS.
I have spent 35000Rs from my pocket for covering this 5400km. It makes bigger hole in pocket.
It is a no brainer to compare kwid with swift or figo .. but still with Alto ion i can compare.

Kwid Mileage is 8Km/L
Hi,
Myself subramanian, i brought my new kwid on Nov2015. But till date am getting a mileage of 8km/l. I was said that it will give a best in class mileage of 25km/l, but not even getting 10km/l. Its waste of money only.
I checked with renault service center twice, every time they are telling there are no issues with the kwid mileage. But am getting the same results.
Can anybody help me in this situation or help me what i can do next.

Squeeking noise from brake
Sir my kwid done 1st service still squeeking noise not corrected. Irritating it is my hard earned money paying loan every month for this car. Front side small box keep open and not close. Common problems I face are
Mileage ..kitna deti hai ???? Never got more than 12 . b to b traffic I got 7 . no constant mileage. I owned alto for 5 years and sold it for kwid. I get 16 constant in alto.
Frnd bot eon which is generation ahead on terms of quality

. kwid door feels like plastic baby toy .
It is my mistake in first place so not compared quality.
Renault said their service booking is full hence come tomorrow but I need to take car to office. I took can and adjusted one day but still delayed and promise fix by first service. Looks like nothing fixed.
Just car dusted and given back . Renault service is worst. I complain and they say wait for engine set .
What .. Squeeking noice vs engine set what link ji ?
Most worst problem which you must consider before going for kwid .
CAR DOES NOT CLIMB IN SMALL RAMP OR EVEN STEEP ROADS. YOU NEED TO PUT FIRST GEAR , HOLD BRAKS , PUSH ACCELERATOR AND RELEASE CLUTCH. THIS WILL NOT CLIMB IF YOU JUST RELEASE CLUTCH WITH ACCELERATOR . NO BAKWAS IM DRIVING FOR 5YRS . ALSO TO CLEAR MY DOUBT I HAD THE SERVICE GUY TO DRIVE FROM MY OFFICE RAMP . HE SAID THE RAMP IS STEEP . WHILE SPEAKING WE SAY A HYUNDAI EON GOING FORWARD SILENTLY THAT TOO 800CC .
service guy said driving style . so I asked him to take my kwid and drive from basement and he told did same thing car stalled 4 to 5 times. Later he said car engine differs. Low rpm and high rpm torque and confused me.
I'm least bothered abt rpm etc what I need is why the car can't climb ramps ?
Last issue going through pathholes there is a huge tud noise from suspension . the same pathole in blore crossed by laks of vehicles and alto goes easily but kwid makes tud noice and mmost ofthe time everyone keeps looking what noise is it .
I'm cmg to your service center in a week as you said full full .. Fix mileage fix squeeking noise. Mileage .. Box not closed . 1 to 3 seconds delay in touch after some time in music player.
Wraffer thin doors are my fault I must have not gone . but above issues are serious squeeking noise from brake is irritating sir .. My hard earned money .. A middle class man

Mileage only 8kmpl
Sir, i was promised a mileage of 15+ in city whereas my highest mileage achieved is 8 . Only car looking big but build quality is poor like tin can. One more issue the bumper clip was broken and they offered to replace bumper under 0 dep insurance but bumper is not available . yes so far 1 month and no spares. I used quick fix for bumper fix
Glove box not locking
Lookwise number1 car but overall build quality is poor

Your employee Ms. Aarti of CRE Sales said that the company would install accessories worth 20,000/- in my car. But despite of waiting for 4 hours the accessories were not installed as promised.
I expect quality services from you and request you to address this issue with immediate attention.

Kwid is a disappointment
I have taken delivery of the Kwid RXT on the 22/03/2016
Issues faced as follows.
1) Within the first 350 kms i covered i have squeaky noisy brakes at low speed braking. if i go any faster than 40kmph and hit the brakes the brakes lockup as if i have slamed it hard.. Lots of black brake dust on the front wheels
2) Loss of power : while driving through traffic at a slow pace and when you push the accelerator there is a sudden loss of power.
3) Engine noise in the cabin
4) Mileage: 25kmph may be under test conditions but anything under 18 is pathetic. I am getting 14 at the moment and not sure if thats true as i am relying on the display which may not be accurate.
I am yet to complete 1000 kms and these issues from the car are not acceptable.I would highly recommend people who are awaiting their delivery to reconsider their options.
As for Renault it would be wiser to invest more time and money in R&D to rectify these more or less similar issues in these posts rather than considering a 1 liter automatic option.
Your product is screwing your reputation just the way your "GENIUS" brain wave of the 2008 formula one season did !

Poor customer service
I am a middle class guy wanting to buy a decent entry level car and when I first saw kwid I decided it was the car! So on sep 18 2015 I booked a kwid rxt o at khivraj Renault Pondicherry! I could sense a feeling of anxiety at the showroom as the people there did not know much about the car! And then I waited 3 months! In January a price hike was announced, and I frantically made calls to the dealer so that they can deliver car before that! But they always said your car will come next week. But the car did not come for 3 months and the price further increased! So after waiting for 6 and a half months frustrated I went to the dealer and cancelled my booking. The staff there never seemed to care! They respect only duster owners and treat kwid buyers like shit! Since we are only middle class! If they so hate the lower classes why make a car targeting them? After cancellation I went straight to a nearby Hyundai showroom and booked an eon! The staff there spoke very assuringly and told me they would deliver my car in 7 working days! So middle class people Hyundai and maruti are the ones for us! This is where experience and years of servicing feels like which khivraj or Renault know nothing about! Other car companies treat us like shit! I mean you can clearly see the rich poor divide in a khivraj Renault showroom who are the worst dealers ever!

KWID RXT
I bought Kwid in month of February. i noticed issues as shown below.
1. major issue is breaking, break will get lock it wont even allow you to stop once you remove the key. On top of that you have to be very careful while applying the breaks immediate rear to the another vehicle. I mean to say breaks are timely responsive.
2. Mileage issue, i am getting 8-10 KM/L. It is far below the claimed i.e 25 KM PL. kwid is making fool of customers when comes to this point.
3. Gear box is non responsive, not like as Marathi's.
4. Engine noise is leveraging more while A/C on.
5. Cabin light, Gearshift indicator and fuel points, Distance to empty these technical issues are to be rectified. These are working as a name sake but not shows accurate results.
7. Apart from these when comes to positives Its is good looking cars compared to other peers, wheel base and ground clearance, suspension are really good.
If the Renault is could not able to rectify all the above issues i sure this car will extinct from the market very soon. Already bad word of mouth is spreading across the City.
Please try to recall all vehicles and fix the problems permanently. Do not show up few satisfied customers because most of Kwid buyers not satisfied.

Brake noise, very low average
1: Brake noisy
2: No pickup once the speed is lowered near speed breakers. Need to press / depress few times to again make the car moving
3: With AC on feel like some one is pulling back the car & heSeatnce may be no average at all.
4: Suspensions are weak.
5: Fuel tank capacity is too low.
6: Horns sometimes sound well & sometimes not.
7: Seat quality is very poor.
8: Box lid opens every now & then due to its lock issue.
9: Oil sump is of plastic, always have fear of getting broken on rough roads.

Issues
I got my kwid rxt delivery on 18th March 2016.
1. Average from day 1 is 8-10km per liter, which is not as promised by renault i.e. 25 km/pl.
2. Gear box doesn't function properly.
3. While breaking, beaks make noise, not soft.
4. Car doesn't accelerates well in slow moving traffic,some time it shut downs.
5. On AC switched on car doesn't performs very well and shut down issue is quite common in traffic or while putting car in 1st gear.
Maruti alto is way better, even though celerio.
Overall car sucks.
