I did my A/Ls twice.
this time i got BBC i can go Physical science if i want to.I studied well enough.Who are you to question my intelligence?In fact I did all the pass papers from 1980 in Math and all the pass papers from 1995 in Phy and Chemistry.I got 45 mcqs phy correct in my MCQ paper this time.U can't say its wrong (A/L wibhage mcq paper eka gedara geniyanna puluwan.kathira gahanne wena kolayaka)so i should got a A for Phy.I was expecting A pass for it.But i got B.I checked the essay type questions too i should have got at least 50 out if 60 to them.structured we can predict.but say i did it horribly wrong.i only requrire 24 points out of 40 from it.

Ppl like u can say anything.U don't accept wht is right.U ppl want to believe wht u think is right.

Hey bro, if so why didn't you put recorrections? It's the imbalanciveness of the mind bro. Thats common for everyone. But are you trying to say that Department of Elections/Election Commisioner or etc; reduced it to B from A? On what purpose? Why they worry to reduce yours? Btw, I hope u know that, in the structured and essay, unlike at OLs, at ALs marks are given for the exact points and the exact words, not for the ideas. And each exact point or exact word may only add marks starting from 0.1 It seems you've had an miscalculation.

I did this A/Ls two times.(Local).I'm very happy with its syllabus.Its way advanced than London A/ls.My age here is irrelevant if my story is true.PLZ think with ur own brain Can anyone Get a result such as AAF?Can a z score of CCC can be higher than a z score of BBB if the the subjects were same?

machan, know your facts b4 you speak...... I know this guy hu got AAF bugger screwed up his index no on BIO paper ne........but F eka is a bit confusing coz Bio 1st ekata 0\50 wunath he should get atleast an S(guy'z 2 damn bright)........

..........3C N 3B is also possible coz when you calculate the Z-SCR you take the marks from the students of the particular district you face the exam in to consideration also .therefore even if you sat for the same subject ,if it is two different districts then your Z scr might get lower even u'r results are better ......

Yes bro, before the exam, lot of students think they are thorough in the syllabus/i.e. they have studied well. After the exam too lot of students think they did the exam well. I can see from your words that you are less experienced in the Sri Lankan Advanced Level field. BUT, anyway bro, for UNI's, thana denne diya yuththata. Yes, Ministers la lamainwa ganna hora wada karapu awastha thiyenawa. But i don't think there was any need to reduce the marks of the other children. Maybe. But no need i hope. But even they did not select for Medicine, there are many other sides-Vetinery, Dentistry, Agri etc; Forces will not a "everyone's last resort" place. If a specific person did study very hard day and night, he has a future machan. Our parent generation did it. All the professors, doctors, engineers did it. Why we cant? Its only today's generation do not do much work and just blame for the system. Do yourself some pastpapers and correct your answers with the exact marking scheme points. Do every Question and time yourself. Can you get an 'A' pass? You have to study a lot. Dont blame the system. It just exhibits your stupidity. and Prove your points with proof.

Well we just witnessed another results from a gov exam.(2008 A/L)Most of the people I knew who were bound to go to uni were sadly disappointed.”The tension of the exams “I thought must be the reason for them to perform so badly during the time of the exam. But my thoughts were horribly wrong. One person who was soo bright that we thought that the exam is a piece of cake for him had attained AAF.Can this be? Another person from who had done science had got results of commerce. Another one who had got BBB had attained a Z score of 1.3209 while another who had got CCC attained a Z score of 1.4

Meanwhile the O/L Math paper had been soo good that the authorities were forced to repeat it.
Why is this happening? These people are ruining young lives here. If the students who live in cities were affected by this what chance will stand for students who live in rural areas?
I am very close with my physics teacher. She said she once saw a very famous minister bribing and threatening a paper marking teacher to get good results for his son?How many are these kinds of things happening at the momemt?
According to a government insider whose name I would not like to say here said the reasoning behind these incidents is to get young talented ppl in to SL army. Well I’m not saying joining the SL army is not good. Protecting the country is a very good thing to do. But is it fair for students do it like this???

that's is not the truth machan .......... u already know wel abt sri lanka.. sri lanka offers us free education while other countries don't do it.. so they have to give a limit for everything... can't spend all the money on 1 thing .... that's why they use Z Score ... if u hv gt SSS for ur A/Ls that means u r a university qualified one... but u hav to reach that Z Score coz of that above mentioned reason ........

ppl can say anything... u gt to know those things by sum1 else.. u ddnt see anything with ur naked eyes....
