අපිට යුනි එකේ career center එකෙන් නම් කියල දුන්නේ ඉස්සර ඕවගේ ෆැන්සි CV නම් හරි යන්නේ නෑ කියල. CV එක උපරිම A4 පිටු 2යි. ඔය CV එක දාන දාන ජොබ් එකෙන් එකට ඒ ඒ ජොබ් advertisment එකේ විදිහට ගැලපෙන්න details දාල වෙන වෙනම හදන්නලු. හැම එකකටම වෙනම covering letter එකක් දාන්න ඕනේ.
එහෙමද? fancy ගතිය ටිකක් අඩු කරන්න ඕන එහෙනම්. කලින් තිබුනේ පලවෙනි පිටුව විතරයි. Recruitment කාරයෙක් කිව්ව නිසා අනිත් පිටු දෙක දැම්මේ. සාමානයෙන් ජොබ් එකෙන් ජොබ් එකට මේක optimize කරලා තමා apply කරන්නේ. එත්, interview call කරේ නෑ එකක් වත් දෙසැම්බර් මාසෙටම. Cover letter එකක් ලියනවා කොහොමත්.

I don't know where you are but in many developed countries you need to address the selection criteria. So the CV has to be tailored to fit the job description and you need a cover letter that elicits how you meet the selection criteria. Also you need to use certain keywords that gives an impact. Get the help of someone who has been employed there for a while.

Keyword සීන් එක තේරෙන්නේ නෑ. එකේ තියන keywords CV එකේ කවර් කරන්නනේ කියන්නේ? හෙල්ප් එකක් ගන්න කෙනෙක් නෑ. එකයි මේකේ දැම්මේ.

You never state your age in the CV..... Also it's illegal for employers to discriminate because of their age.

ඉතාම වැදගත්ම දේ තමයි ජොබ් එකක් අඩ්වටයිස් කරහම UK කම්පනීස් කම්පීටන්සීස් ලියන්න කියනවා.
හැම competency එකක්ම තමන්ගෙ previous experiences වලින් කවර් කරන්න. STAR අප්රොච් එකෙන් ලියන්න. වැල්වටාරම් ලියන්න එපා.
එක competency එකකට උපරිම වචන 100ක් පාවිච්චි කරන්න.
p.s. Brexit එකත් එක්ක gov ජොබ්ස් ගොඩක් තියනවා. සිවිල් සර්විස් ජොබ් පෝටල් එකට සබ්ස්ක්රයිබ් වෙලා ඇප්ලයි කරන්න. ලංකාවෙ අය කොමන්වෙල්ත් නිසා රජයේ ජොබ් වලට දාන්න පුළුවන් කිසි ගේමක් නැතුව.

ඔන්න ඕක තමා මට දැනගන්නම ඕන. කම්පීටන්සීස් ලියන්නේ කොහොමද CV එක ඇතුලේ කියලා. එතකොට ඒක දැම්මම, career history එක දාන්න ඕන නැද්ද?

CV is too long and over done. Make it simple because your CV is not the only CV they read. They have to go through many at one time. So highlight your education and professional qualifications and then your skills. List your experience in descending order and explain what you did in few bullet points.
Since you are new what VISA do you have? the other option is going through recruiters. I personally don't apply for jobs, I let them do it

The thing is, I am still not getting many connections with recruitment agents. Why don't they reply even on social media or their personal emails? I need to know how to build a connection with them. They don't reach me even if I apply their advertisements.

- First of all, understand the difference between a CV and a resume. I don't know about your situation, but most of the companies require you to submit a resume.
- Don't make it fancy
- Just limit your "resume" to a maximum of 2 pages
- Use point form instead of writing paragraphs (I think that your "Career Summary" section will just be enough to describe your career)
- Always try to mention your achievements QUANTITATIVELY (Eg: Improved the efficiency of bla bla system by 20%). People like to see numbers rather than having to read a paragraph and numbers of course provide credibility to your facts.
- Profile summary at the top of the first page, seems to be a bit longer than usual. Shorten it.
- Using the image is not recommended. The reason is that even if the recruiter does not have any idea of discriminating, seeing a candidate's image can possibly make him bias automatically (positively or negatively).
- I didn't read your CV/Resume. Just make sure that there are no grammatical errors.
- Always try to be concise with what you write.
I am in the UK and they require a CV which is similar to a resume in the US.
