I get that point because the countries that are using Leopards cannot send them to Ukrain without Germany’s approval.

But I am confused why USA and UK ask Germany to send the leopards first and pledge to send the Abrahms and Challengers afterwards? They could have just sent their own tanks to Ukrain without waiting Germany to send

What US says is their Abrams are not suitable for Ukraine as they consume more fuel and difficult to handle without proper training. But thats a bull crap thats why germany said they will not send tanks alone unless US do the same. Its very sad that germany is tightly trapped in US arms and cant make any own decisions.

2% ? If I remember correctly UK states months ago that they will run out artillery ammo within 2 or 3 weeks if they face Russian army, and Russian army daily artillery ammo usage count is nearly equal to yearly or monthly ammo production of UK or something similar.

Its very sad that germany is tightly trapped in US arms and cant make any own decisions.

That is an aftermath of WWII.

For example, present Japan can not declare a war without the permission from USA. Their post-WWII constitution prohibit to have an armed force (according to Article 9 of 1947 Japanese Constitution) except the Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF), which is under scrutiny of USA.

Italy has something similar restriction in their post-WWII constitution.
