At the moment it is difficult to catch Amarasiri Peiris and Sunil Edirisinghe.

Sunl Edirisinghe has the most beautiful voice, but only performs in songs. Kasun is also great, but once more he is also confined to songs. Amarasiri Peiris has gone few steps forward as he sings in operas and cantatas with master Khemadasa. Any one who can sing to Khemadasa's music is a maestro.

I really like to see people like Kasun Kalhara, Krishantha Erandaka, Iman Perera and Amila Perera performing with master Khemadasa. The time is running out, master Khemadasa is very ill (his kidneys are almost gone, needing a transplant, currently dialysis dependent) and might pass away within next 5 years. But the man is still working very hard.

I think kasun is capable of cantatas and operas as much as amarasiri peiris. but he sticks to his confusing policy of avoiding such opppurtunities...

Khemadasa Master is a man with infinite passion.

He knows no fear. He is a man who will not bend his head to power. A musician who combines all these qualities is, in the full sense of the word, 'a maestro' who will take the connoisseur from a mundane world into a world of magical charm where sounds blend with supreme finesse, sensitivity and artistry. May I, in all humility, wish this Great Man, longevity to do more for our nation:
