Windows XP problem, please help

මචන්ලා මගේ කොම් එක වැඩ කරන්නේ නැහැ. ඔන් කරාම රිස්ටාර්ට් වෙවී තියෙනවා දිගටම, මේක ෆොර්මැට් කරගන්න විදියක් නැහැ මගේ XP CD එක යාළුවෙක් අරගෙන ගිහින් . . . .මට මතකයි එලකිරි කොල්ලෙක් ත්‍රෙඩ් එකක් දලා තිබ්බා, USB එකකින් මැෂින් එක බූට් කරගෙන වැඩකරගන්න විදියක්, කව්රු හරි කෙනෙකුට පුළුවන්ද මට ඒ ත්‍රෙඩ් එක හොයලා දෙන්න. ලොකු උදව්වක් . . .

වැදගත් ඩෙටා ටිකක් ගන්න තියෙනවා මට මේ දැන් . . .

safe mode on කරන්න.. (on වෙන්නේ නැත්නම් sorry හොඳේ )
Check disk එකක් දාන්න
CHKDSK c: /x /r /f
ඊට පස්සේ on වෙනවාද බලන්න

dear brother;

it's not necessary to format your computer!!! just install XP into another partition. then you will be able to boot your computer with the new-installation. after booting the computer, you can access ur data which were on other partitions.


**** we can try to fix the XP problem by rearing the existing installation. however without having a clear idea on the current issue, repairing process can make big-troubles. Hence, good solution is the above one ...!

I think before installing XP into another partition you can do the most simple recovery. once you select "install XP" after booting from the CD it'll detect the existing XP installation and you can select "R"(repair) and it'll start repairing the O/S. it's the simplest way and you will not lose any data.

Or else if you can boot it from the safe-mode you can 1st try to run the check-disk utility. Even you can restore it to to a past restore point.

However XP installation is not possible hence he doesn't have a CD
