hey bro, i have the answer to your question coz i'm from a military family backgorund. I have a close relative who has served in the army for more than 35 years. he's a general now....

ppl have to do many sacrifices for their country, and the luckily our army and the other forces are doing that.

first let's talk about the fallen and injured war heroes... the public should thank them till they live, and they should provide more funds for their well being, help ranaviru sevana, army hospital and the other government places to help the injured soldiers. and ppl can help build homes for the dead soldiers families. the remaining army will be there for further security, riot control and various other needs (like can u remember, the army played a major role when the tsunami hit SL, they worked day and nyt) so the army has stuff to do even if there is no war!!!

the thing is an army is not just a unit which is there to fight for the war, they can do a lot of work to a country. and also we have to keep a good security even after the war.

so basically there's a lot of things to do for the army AND the general public also.

and thanx for asking this question bro, coz a lot of ppl will forget about the army when the war ends, but we should always remember that they worked day and night to protect us. so we have to do our part for them also...

GOOD LUCK FOR THE SL FORCES

I think the Army of 170,000 soldiers can be used to develop paddy fields and farms as a service to the country.. Women soldiers can bring Ambula.
And the good karma will help them. I think other countries also would follow it. Now they appreciate the way we handle war. Why not the economic war.
I am sure if the Army can win the economic war there will be a National flag in evry home... unlike now... one flag for few kilometres.
And Army can be used to clean the city... People will follow the cleaning rules strictly if they know that if they make the city dirty soldiers would be in trouble.
They can work at harbor... actually at any Govt own thing...
