Rayman Legends Launches Early 2013
Ubisoft confirmed Rayman Legends ships worldwide early next year for the Wii U. The game was originally scheduled for release in Europe on November 30 for the console's launch. The North American version was always listed as a launch window title.
"Rayman Legends will launch worldwide in the first quarter of 2013," Ubisoft said in a statement. "We're happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations.

Crazy Taxi Heads To iOS
Sega confirmed an iOS version of Crazy Taxi is on the way. Neither pricing or a release date was announced, but the publisher did release a very short teaser trailer that suggests the original music returns for this version.

Activision has temporarily removed the popular Modern Warfare multiplayer map 'Favela' after receiving complaints from Muslim gamers over imagery found in the game.Text attributed to Prophet Muhammad which reportedly reads "Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty" was recently discovered on a picture frame hanging in a bathroom. Activision has since removed the map from rotation and is editing out the imagery. The publisher sent Kotaku the following statement:
We apologize to anyone who found this image offensive. Please be assured we were unaware of this issue and that there was no intent to offend. We are working as quickly as possible to remove this image and any other similar ones we may find from our various game libraries.
We are urgently working to release a Title Update to remove the texture from Modern Warfare 3. We are also working to remove the texture from Modern Warfare 2 through a separate Title Update. Until the TU is ready, we have removed the Favella multiplayer map from online rotation.
Activision and our development studios are respectful of diverse cultures and religious beliefs, and sensitive to concerns raised by its loyal game players. We thank our fans for bringing this to our attention.

Call Of Duty For Vita Will Not Include Zombies Mode
Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified is coming to Vita next year, but it won't have any zombies shambling behind it.
According to Activision representative Dan Amrich, the fan favorite zombies mode is being cut so that the team can focus strictly on the single-player and multiplayer components of the game."This is the first Call of Duty game on Vita, and it needs to deliver on its core strengths - arguably, multiplayer gaming with twin-stick controls in a portable format," said Amrich.
In lieu of zombies, but not necessarily intended as a replacement, the game will offer Hostiles Mode, which will place you against waves of bots, but they won't be of the brain-eating undead variety.

League Of Legends Playoffs Delayed
Connectivity issues have forced the last games of the League of Legends World Playoff finals to be delayed. Riot Games wants to make sure no technical issues interrupt these important games. Riot Games issued the following statement on its website:
"After a series of connectivity issues at our LA Live venue, we've had to reschedule the final games of the Season 2 World Playoffs. We'll be completing the last game of the CLG EU and Team WE quarterfinal match and finishing out the Semifinal Matches in the near future from a new location with a secure Internet connection. The matches will be broadcast live, so stay tuned for scheduling information."

Assassin's Creed III UbiWorkshop Edition Confirmed For PC
We learned of the Assassin's Creed III UbiWorkshop edition back in May for consoles, and UbiSoft can now confirm that it will be available for PC as well.
This version of the game will include the Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia Second Edition, Assassin’s Creed Subject 4 comic book, and, of course a copy of the game for $99.

Angry Birds Star Wars Announced
Rovio today announced Angry Birds Star Wars for release on November 8. The developer says there's also a massive retail launch for the game, including merchandise ranging from Halloween costumes and apparel to action figures.
“This is the best Angry Birds game we’ve ever done. It’s the best parts of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in a galaxy far, far away,” said Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka. “As a big Star Wars fan myself, I’m really excited about this new universe. The Force is definitely strong with this one.”
Angry Birds Star Wars is coming to iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle Fire, Mac, PC, Windows Phone and Windows 8.
