It's perfectly okay to disregard info on safety ratings if you're doing a comparison between the KWID with the Panda, KWID is a utter failure when it comes to safety anyway...

The point I'm trying to make is, even with the new improvements C-NCAP tests are not in par with EU/US/AU/JAP NCAP ratings.

Thanks for the reply bro but i am not reviewing CNCAP or EuroNCAP here. I am talking about cars with its competitors. None of the panda competition or even higher vehicles in that range have good marks in any country of NCAP testing.
What you are saying is applicable if we compare a panda to very expensive euro car with top safety features coz CNCAP will not review them.

So you won't include in your review the fact that the Panda GS does not have 5 star safety rating and by claiming the GS have 5 star "NCAP" rating Micro is fooling the clueless carbuyers deliberately?

From where did you find that info? Official C-NCAP website doesn't have a newer Panda variant listed on their website...

This is inaccurate. JAP NCAP standards were more strict than 2012 C-NCAP standards even in 2009.

All the tests mentioned above were introduced before 2009. (Refer the Start Year)

21-27 is huge to normal ppl who lease these cars. And Kia has very bad 2nd hand market. maruti, kwid like budget cars are almost not loosing their value in the 2nd hand market.
So they don't care about all the good things in Kia, they buy alto or kwid.

I was in the same boat while back. If you have money go for KIA Picanto. By your comments i understood that you like picanto better than any other car. Just go for it dont listen to anyones comment. Make sure you talk to Picanto users in popular auto forums in SL

Yeah, back then, when i asked about buying the car i use now. OMG things people said about it.

I'm driving this for near 2 years now without only the rear shock absorbers replaced. That is done under warranty. And company people noticed a oil leakage and did that themselves. Kandy branch though. In Kandy branch, my service manager is an old elakirian Mr.Mahesh. Who did old automobile radio shows. He helps a lot. I only spent money for the service and maintenance things. I did them regularly.

So pretty happy for now about what i did. Taking the decision and buying, standing with my own decision.

Well i think that as there are many cars sold out in the market, 2nd hand market should be also fine in the future when i try to sell this. Even though it's bad, i'm happy. I drove the car happily.
