but I have no answers to any of the questions :P

true that..our ultimate goal is to acquire peace of mind..religions are justifications for the injustice on earth and show path to attainment of said peace.. but nobody really knows..

what do you mean by infinite nature though?

What he explains is we are things which want to expand to the infinite:).And there'll be no stop to our desire coz datz da nature of all things on earth:frown::).And then again desire=sorrow. So there'll be no point of trying to possess or control things.Coz we wont be satisfied:no:.So the right way is to limit ourselves to a certain extent. To know our selves and our true potential and at least try to be satisfied with it.So there'll be eternal peace if we expand inwards instead of expanding outwards:yes:.So know yourself and who you are.......

Infinite nature means the driving force behind of all these things.I'll simply refer to as Intelligence. It is that intelligence that expands infinity. In a visual form we call it the universe.

There is no injustice on earth.everything is the result of a cause. But in our experience it is painful to us therefor it is suffering. There are two ways we experience suffering mental and physical.almost 80% suffering is because of mind.So peace out the mind reduce 80% suffering.physicality doesn't hurt us always so 20% suffering is there.Body is what we accumulated over the years from this earth resources,so it belongs to the earth.

so in theory if we seize the mind (If we remove the cause) there is no effect. Thus no manifestations to experience suffering. You become the pure intelligence itself.Nobody knows it's true but can you consider this as a possibility?

that makes perfect sense within it's given context..but that is again based on assumptions..

as per that theory, I guess to remove cause, you will need to refrain from engaging yourself in any activities that will add to the cause..if what you say is truth, then you will have to live a few life times to wear off the causes accumulated over many previous lives while training your mind to peel off whatever desire in your heart..

since I have no definite answers, I can consider this a possibility..

but I lack the faith to believe in some of the basics of it..

    Beautiful..

lucky are the ones who can be satisfied that way..but a immoral person may be satisfied with his sins and may not find any negative effect on him during his or her lifetime.. this is as far as one can see..

so I can go back to being a person of no faith..if religions put you in hell, what if you can make yourself home there? isn't that the ultimate peace?

no mchn there is no need to wear everything off.for an example take a mango tree.assume another rebirth as a mango fruit.mango tree has all the nessary condition to make a mango fruit when the outer conditions are perfect mango fruit happens.like wise we create all the necessary conditions for another rebirth in this life time.when the outer conditions are perfect we produce another rebirth.what we have to do is cut the mango tree so there is no fruit.

you don't have to refrain from doing any activity. All you have to do is stop your mind clinging to it.It is that clingingness that goes on producing another mango.you can 100% engage in this life, but 100% unaffected by it.If you live like that once the physical body dies there is no conditions remaining to produce another mango.

This is not easy for an ordinary human being to practice withing one lifetime. That's why some more life times needed. But if you have 100% striving it is possible.

so lets say I lead a life of no greed..I crave no possession and whatever I possess I can give away at will or request and feel nothing about it..will that qualify as being not clingy?

I suppose the trick in this theory is to be 100% without needs or desires?

no mchn if you live that way it is stupidity not clingy. You have to understand this is a life too.what you have explained are both extremes. This is where most people get confused. That to remove conditions you should not eat too.

You have to create a balance in this system. If you starve that is an extreme clinginess to eat.you can't give everything off because then you cannot survive in this planet.Action should be in according to the situation, otherwise things don't work in physical realm.

all that is said was your "unconscious" clingingess are the conditions for another rebirth. You have to look deep into this term "unconscious".

Living a life without greed in the sense is just living the most basic life:).Just like how a monk lives. With no possessions and all:yes:.There should be no attachments of any kind. For eg:-You're greedy with wot u eat for urself. What ever the things that you exercise under the illusion of ownership is greed no more no less!!:P:):(

I see your point and the point in the theory..however, I find it hard to believe there's a relation between cause and effect.. I've lived my life believing in nothing..the world as per me has no meaning or purpose..but things that happened during some sort of a process..it's not likely that I find reason for this ultimate moving force..nor have I any interest in finding it..

can you tell me the reasons for you to trust cause and effect?

There is cause and effect:yes:.For example if you hurt anyone he or she'll be hurt:yes:.But by doing this you grow ur ego and the big ego leads to needing you more for yourself in turn expanding ur sansara. And this excessive need cause you suffering........:).But when you help a person your ego is shared coz u care for him or her so ur sansara will be short!!

Hmm mchn so in science we discovered that everything is built from atoms. So what we called physicality is an collection or a combinations of atoms. So scientist do agree that no psychical combination can become absolute nothing but have to transform into another form.In that context if we take water,it can be either ice, air,or a cloud.but it can never become nothing. If that is the nature of the atoms then if we applied that theory to ourselfs our body can transform into soil, but what happen to the energies that consist our thoughts, emotions, actions?they need to have a transformation too.

in that context if you look around there is nothing exist itself as unique item, everything is a result of a cause.believing nothing is the way to live so then you have direct experience with the reality.all you have to see is you are bound to this cause and effect cycle. In theory if you remove the causes you become the absolute atom without no form or transformation but transform into pure force.

but then again, what if you hurt somebody and you don't you it?

that may do nothing to your ego..

or likewise, what you hurt somebody and you can perfectly come to terms with it neutralizing it?

isn't it as far as we let it go that our suffering can go?

I can give you guilt..it may be the only consequence of your bad deeds..but as they do in some other religions, you may realize your sin and absolve yourself of it..wouldn't it work that way?

I guess my inability or reluctance to believe in cause and effect come from my materialistic nature and the fact that I cannot connect certain dots in my life.. I easily give into desires or temptations and put it all down to purposelessness..

I'll give you that that the force that is life..the pack of energy that is bound to this frame of flesh, blood and bones might dwell in perfect harmony someday someplace which may be nirvana or heaven or whatever..but after all, for me, it's all like, do I really wanna go that place? most probably because I'm already half numb in side..

yeah I understand wot u r telling:yes:.We can argue over this forever but wot I think is dat everything being random anybody whether generally gud or bad could face good or bad karma from time to time. And also there r no totally gud or completely bad ppl on this earth.Everybody's got gud and bad qualities with them coz we r all ordinary beings. And as you said if there r ppl without a conscience at all they r not any different than animals:frown:.So they can't enjoy wot the normal human beings enjoy:rolleyes:.They suffer the most because of this coz they have no peace. And as in Buddhism ur intention is wot leads to the validity of ur actions:).

Nirvana or heaven is not somewhere you have to go.It is your original nature. It is like coming back home. You have created so much drama so you have forgoten your original nature.;)It is out from the pure atom you have now become a huge complex of atoms.whether you like or not atoms will purify itself but it will take billions trillions of years as per natures work.so this path is only a shortcut. But again if you want to cycle that long what's the matter.only thing you have to bear is it is not without obstacles, you may loose your legs and hands tommorow but then again if you can be happy what's the matter. This is all to it.
