actually i wasn't saying that there's no alien civilizations. all i'm saying is it's a paradox. if we assumed there really are advanced alien civilizations we can't answer why there's no signals from them.
if we assumed there's no advanced alien civilizations, we can't answer given the enormous size of the universe and potential planets, how is that intelligent life haven't formed in any of those

have to concider that fact that out of 13 billion odd years , most of the time universe wasnt cool enough of any life(as we know it) to be formed.

maybe life started to form about billion or millions of years ago through out the universe

it can't be millions. we already have found fossils 3.5 billion years old. and that's for planet Earth. other planets might have had environments suitable for life billions of years before that. where's signals they've leaked into the space ?

if u play with number with some assumptions and do calculations u will see there is a huge possibility of us never finding any of those kinda signals.

and there are so many other possibilities too, it is hypothesized that a civilization which is, lets say 10000 years advanced from us can maybe can even change the laws of physics too. so what if they just destroy all newly emerging civilizations, and maybe we are in a cosmic wasteland.

and anyway simulation hypothesis is the best answer to the paradox imo,
