I think i might have missed this part when writing the previous reply Do we need to have a AC spd when we don’t use a hybrid inverter?

If you are not charging via the grid(say, you are using inverter and solar charge controller as separate units), then you can skip the AC SPD. however having one is an advantage, it will protect other household appliances from surges coming from the grid(when you are using grid power)

Do we need to have a AC spd when we don’t use a hybrid inverter? I have ordered all kind of DC breakers, dc spds, fuses, manual solar line isolators, battery protection fuses, breakers etc.. Thought main line can ensure AC line protection for surges

Machan would you be able to post the links for those units you brought? Some people say DC units are not available at the moment for local purchases.

yeah.
Now china sellers are also trying to take advantage, most of the sellers says out of the stock due to the high demand from sri lanka.
It was around 750USD when i purchase the inverter, including WiFi dongle and 5Year extended warranty.

Yes i saw this.
That is why i suggest that it is better if we can order cells individually and build the battery ourselves.
