anyway I'm not against fashion but the big deal everybody's making out of it, is sort of ridiculous ..for an example, in one of your posts earlier you said that not getting fashion right may make ppl laugh at you, at which point, rises the question, why has people developed that sort of a mentality...while teaching about fashion at school might be good as a form of art, I just find it more appropriate that you were taught in school, how not to be a tool to some trend.
[/COLOR]it's totally the other way around hun, changing clothes according to the seasons were made into a fashion because changing clothes according to the season was first a necessity. you didn't just invent a fur dress out of your sense of fashion and found it really cool that it also helped the cold, instead you made the fur dress cos it was cold ...

Lets speak the reality.. how many ppl do careful about thr fashions.. Fashion , ofcoz it is necessary.. because each person represents themself with diff types of personalities n uniqueness.. Personality can be not built just by qualities.. u need to add on fashion and good looks to it. U can compare a person with a good/smart and outgoin personality, wot he cud do having such a personality and a person who doesnt have one and wot he could do in this society.. just be real kay

as I have been noticing since I got here twisted does only know troll on people. especially on valuable threads. cause it's hard to see he on pointless threads. might be his natural feature or a real time waster. anyway for his argument
anyway we can forget those kind of things unless I would not be able to involve with this argument in real way.
fashion can be anything ,even the nude is a some sort of a fashion. but can just go to a party in nude? you should select proper clothes for that. and it's also depend on the place to place, culture to culture, season to season,asset to asset (which means. if you don't have enough fund to buy whatever you want. you will fall down to just fulfill your basic needs)
in business management you can find a theory called Maslow's hierarchy of needs
according to that every person's needs can be divided into 5 different stages.
Self Actualization, Esteem,Social,Safety,Basic needs.
so as maslow said you should go from the bottom of the stages which is survival stages.when you can fulfill that it's possible to reach the next phase.
so as a basic need you should have something to cover yourself.when you can do that then you may be encouraged to fulfill more needs. which is consider about your safety. so you will buy more comfortable ,safety clothes rather than just cover your naked.
then as you have done early you will reach more upper and upper phases when you got ability to fulfill whatever in current phase. Social means you would like to talk with people, hang out with people, now you may think how the fashion involve with this.
you know what fashion is not important in this phase but if you wanna go more upper phases according to this theory you should fulfill the needs in this phase.
the important phase is esteem. which is you seek to get respected. be a honorable man,be respectful ,and expect honor from other people. so fashion is highly impact on this phase cause no one would respect for a man who just wears unsuitable clothes for any situation. that's why you should wear a white,calm suit for a funereal. if you just put on some filthy clothes, or whatever anything that you wear for a party, then don't expect a respect from rest of people. people might kick your ass out of the funeral cause they might think you disrespect the dead one.
fashion is very import in this society and also to fulfill your esteem needs, unless people will disgrace you. now the last and the very important one is self actualization.
you know what does that mean. it means basically you are considered as an unique character in this world. so there is only one called something your name who got these set of features. yeah it's possible other people got same features but you are well known cause you have reached this phase. it might be hard to reach this phase. cause you should consider and keep up your set of features,fashion continuously.
it doesn't mean you can't change that based on what I said early. of course you can and you should but it should minimally impact for your personality .
like Che Guvera got a beard, and his hair was unique for his entire life, and Mahinda Rajapaksa got a same set of his uniqueness.did you see he wore a gold colour national suit in one of a foreign ceremonies? and have you seen he normally wears a casual clothes when he in home? but he got his beard and hair and same set of features,personality at all time. so he didn't lose his uniqueness. fashion and self actualization goes together.
and but you should know how to change your fashion which impacts your personality in minimum level.
