Bad mouthing EK, blog content that violates EK terms, stuff like that are reason enough to make a rule like that.
Besides, the link can very well be used a redirector to a competing site.

that i understand but my point is these are blog sites with games and poems. don't think anything you listed above is going to be there in those sites..if so then the one who notice it can complain about it and later admin will do what's needs be done.

Do a search for local artists on google. 9 out 10 times, a thread in EK pops up in the first page of results.
This is where those links in posts comes to play. If it goes to a competitor of EK or that artist, EK is giving free publicity (google rankings) to its competitor or to a smear campaign to an artist that works with EK.

So avoiding these things is the easiest thing to do. Hence the rule.

good point i agree but then again they wouldn't wait for this sort of a thread to do that right. most probably this thread's intention can't be that. not that i don't see what you are trying to say.

well, since its practically impossible for admins to to check each and every post, threads like these are good ones to publish any such site.

looks basically like a poem site those songs are the problem right with reference to another sl site. from a music downloaders point of views it's good to find their music in anyother site if they aren't in ek.

well, since its practically impossible for admins to to check each and every post, threads like these are good ones to publish any such site.

it's a pity just cos some ppl are silly most of others lose their chance to promote their creations ain't it.

those music downloads are albums of local artists. Posting albums of local artists is against the rules in EK so, by promoting that blog in Ek, it is violating the terms of EK.
Also some of those artists are working with EK. How do you think they'd feel if EK is giving out links to download their albums ?

alright i see that and he's got a link to that site in his signature as well so even if it wasn't for this thread he'll still be promoting that site. and by the constitution of this site that's ok?
