Playable Alucard confirmed as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 DLC
Konami has announced it will add a playable Alucard to action game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 as downloadable content.
In Mercury Steam's Lords of Shadow universe Alucard is the son of Gabriel Belmont and the father of Simon Belmont. Alucard was the protagonist in spin-off Mirror of Fate.
He arrives in Lords of Shadow 2 as part of the Revelations add-on, due out on 25th March. Expect new branches of the storyline, Konami said.
The official blurb: "The legendary vampire, Alucard, the turned son of Gabriel, has shunned human life for many years, instead choosing to hunt only creatures of the night. The DLC takes place just before the apocalyptic events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, where Alucard readies for his father's return and the forthcoming battle against Satan. As the plot unfolds it begins to reveal how the vampire is inextricably linked to his Father's fate."
During the DLC you'll discover Alucard's involvement in Dracula's story and set in motion the events of Lords of Shadow 2. He has his own unique abilities, and uses the Glaciem and Igneas powers in combat. He can also transform into a wolf, a swarm of bats and turn back time.
