brother. anything u can be confirm about after investigating. as ur telling that the rarrot is coverd so u cant see isnt that the same that u cant see the jem.

That's exactly what the story is about, buddy. You can't see both; but one is open to be investigated; the other is not. The one which is open for investigation allows one to discover for him/herself that there truly is a gem there.

It's a simple story. :dull:

ok so can you guys do some research on Allh???you won't even dare to..because it says in quran that the only thing that Allh won't forgive is dis-believing on him(trying to see whether it's true or false=research.so no research is allowed in islam)
so you won't simply have guts to do it will you?...so muslims are same like those people who worship that unseen parrot.....:dull:

who told u that no research allowed in islam. we research and alhamdulillah we confirmed that 100% that the islam is the true way.
http://www.muslimaccess.com/quraan/translations/shakir/001.htm
u can read full quran here and tell me where its mention that we should not reseach.
also islam is not just telling that allah did this and that. but quran is the miracle which mentioned everything for mankind.

u from outside getting a wrong view of islam. we cant see the god but we no he is exist.that is the faith.u dont believe in anything which u cant see from eyes. thats y u need idols. but for us dont need any representative to worship god.

with this post it shows well that u dont know any thing about islam.

no brother its open and clear. but u cant see it. thats the problem here.

allah shows his signs but people ignore it. as ur parrot but shows miracle but men reject it.
6;37
and they say: Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord? Say: Surely Allah is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.
2;18
Deaf, dumb (and) blind, so they will not turn back.

Buddy, Read the original story.

Does it say a word about your religion? Stick to the story: it says very clearly that one man says there is a parrot who can do so many things. But we can't see even if there's a parrot; all we see is a piece of cloth. We are not allowed to remove the cloth and check if there's a parrot; test if the parrot can actually do all those things; see if the parrot has swallowed a gem.

On the other hand, the other man invites us to see for ourselves what is underneath the garbage. And the story explains what is meant by 'garbage', what is meant by 'gem'.

If you assume the man who is covering something and says it's a magic parrot and wouldn't let you see it is similar to your religion, then it's your problem. The story itself doesn't say that.

Good story. It reminds me of another somewhat similar story.

I see. In Buddhism, one cannot attain nibbana without being free from raga, dwesha, moha.
Yes, the path is not easy but practical and achievable. Besides, easiness is a relative concept. What one perceives to be easy can be perceived as difficult by another.

its not mention about what women should wear. is covering a sin in ur religion???
will i go to hell for that?????

This story is not about women's dress code.

It is not mentioned because it is not considered to be important. What matters is one's actions, one's words and one's thoughts. One can be covered from head to bottom and still be filled with hatred, lust and stupidity. On the other hand, people who have barely covered themselves can be virtuous. There are stories in Buddhist India where a poor man came to Buddha wearing wood sticks around waist because he couldn't afford clothes. The dress has nothing to do with purity of the mind.

And since the dress has no importance, you will neither go to hell or heaven simply because you cover.

do islam tell muslims to drink alcahole??????????

I'm not a Muslim. Ask Siraj, Dreams001 or Gazaly. They should be able to answer you.

only thing u ca tell is killing animal????/ but there are life in plant too so being a vegeterian is also a sin

While we accept that life is dear to all, not all lives are equal. The distinction is in the ability to attain nibbana one day. Plants have a very primitive life form. For monks, plucking a growing plant is prohibited. But anything more than that is considered being too indulgent in a ritual. Being a vegetarian is not a sin. Even eating meat is not a sin, though killing is. At that time in India, people have used meat from animals that have been killed by wild animals. The basic principle behind moderation in food habits (or dress for that matter) is the intention: one should attempt to reduce over indulgence on bodily pleasures-such as taste. If I don't eat meat but still have the craving, I still accumulate bad kamma-or sin, in a simpler term.

so will i go to heaven or will born as an animal..
..

Whether you will be born as a wild animal or not depends on your kamma-your bodily, verbal and mental actions.

i think u can pass ur religion in 1shot by being a muslim. u will go to heaven directly..

It's not clear what you're trying to say here. I guess what you're telling is you have a simple plan in Islam-you go either to hell or heaven. Well, good luck. I prefer to stick to Buddhist philosophy.
