Giving an option and then having to maintain a network to cater for that are two different things. Maintaining such an infrastructure will have a huge cost which will eventually trickle down to the consumer as increased charges. As it is now the consumer has no option whatsoever so having that option itself is a very big deal. Got it?
Besides in SL we only have 2 Carriers Dialog and Mobitel and the rest will eventually become subsidiaries or already are subsidiaries of those 2
